U2′s The Joshua Tree Returns to Billboard Album Charts at No. 47

The Joshua Tree is back on the Billboard albums charts, almost 27 years after it was first released. Seriously. We had to do a double-take, too, when forum member Bill shared the news over the weekend. Sure enough, it's sitting at #47 on this week's Billboard 200. Here's a screenshot as proof:

How'd this happen? As the fans in our forum have suggested, I'd bet it's a combination of U2's Super Bowl commercial reigniting interest in the band and the fact that The Joshua Tree has been on sale recently just $$3.99 in the Amazon.com MP3 store.

Whatever the reason, pretty amazing.
