A U2 documentary called From The Sky Down will open the Toronto International Film Festival this year. This is the Davis Guggenheim film that was shot earlier this year, partially while U2 was in Winnipeg in late May. Here's how the New York Times describes the film:

The new film from Mr. Guggenheim, the director of "An Inconvenient Truth" and "Waiting for Superman," will chronicle the creation and legacy of Achtung Baby, the 1991 U2 album that included hits like "One" and "Mysterious Ways," using archival footage and new interviews.

From The Sky Down will premiere on September 8, 2011. The film festival runs from September 8-18.
