Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravensthal has declared today is U2 day in the city, and the weather is holding up to be rain-free in honor of the declaration. We have many @U2 staff in Pittsburgh to bring you coverage of the U2360 tour's penultimate show. Fingers crossed, we may even have an audio stream available. Keep an eye on our Twitter feed for information closer to show time.
Once the claw is removed from Heinz Field, filming for the next Batman movie will begin. Chances are it will be a "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me" kind of (dark k)night. U2's tour director, Craig Evans, told reporters to expect a special tribute to Dan Rooney, the current U.S. Ambassador to Ireland and Pittsburgh Steelers chairman emeritus. It was Rooney who petitioned to bring the U2360 tour to Pittsburgh. Evans also said that the songs in tonight's setlist will have Pittsburgh in mind.
We're excited to be here, and we hope you enjoy our coverage. More as the day progresses.
