U2’s third greatest hits compilation showcases 16 of U2’s most popular and well known singles. There are 2 new songs in “The Saints are Coming”, which was collaborated with “Green Day”, and the original “Window in the Skies”. This is a perfect CD for an introduction into the music of U2, showcasing their 80’s era of soulful, passionate rock in “The Joshua Tree”, whilst also including their most recent album “How to Dismantle An Atomic Bomb”.
There are some great tracks here including “With or Without You”, “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For”, “One”, and “Beautiful Day”. However, it’s a shame their aren’t any songs from “Zooropa” or “Pop”, while “Even Better Than The Real Thing” and “I Will follow” are also omitted. Still, it’s hard to complain, with a band like U2- there’s certainly a very large catalogue of songs, and when making a compilation like this, it’s hard to please everyone.
