Although "The Claw" is fresher in everyone's mind, Zoo TV was the top choice in our recent home page survey asking fans about U2's concert stages.
In early May, we ran a survey with a simple question: "What's your favorite U2 concert stage?" Almost 3,200 votes were cast over a three-week period, and Zoo TV took top honors with more than 43 percent of the votes. U2's 360 tour (and The Claw) finished second with almost 24 percent of the votes. The Elevation tour and PopMart tour stages were the other two options that had more than 10 percent of the votes.
Here's a chart showing the full survey results:
Little did we know in May that Mark Fisher, the architect who built the top five vote-getting stages, was seriously ill and would eventually pass away in late June. Maybe this poll is a testament of sorts to his work and impact on the U2 concert experience.
Meanwhile, we've added a new poll question on our home page asking about the possibility of Chris Martin singing on a new U2 song. You can vote on our home page, www.atu2.com.
