By a resounding margin, U2 fans say they're not interested in the idea of U2 doing a "greatest hits" tour. We asked that question in our home page poll for a couple weeks in late January-early February, after an Irish Times columnist wrote that "dedicated fans and fairweather followers would probably prefer a greatest hits tour at this stage" of U2's career.
The vast majority of the fans that answered our survey disagree. More than 84 percent of the 2,959 votes cast were fans saying no, they wouldn't prefer that U2 do a greatest hits tour. Here's the chart:
