A year after accepting a GQ Award, Bono was back for the 2012 event to present longtime friend Salman Rushdie with the GQ Inspiration of the Year award. It happened Tuesday night in London. Bono gave a short introduction in which he talked about the time in the 1990s that Rushdie hid briefly at the Hewson home after a fatwa had been issued on the author's life.
